I've been working on notes for various novel prospects. It is interesting. I love the brainstorming process. It is like sailing on a sea of what-if.
There's an article circling about describing successful people. I mention it because I think it matches with something I've always believed. Talent doesn't help you anywhere near as much as raw naked ambition. I think that might not apply to certain sports, but to everything else. I feel bad because I'm only a year into the proposed ten year requirement to master any one skill.
I need to keep my head down and focus.

However, once you are done with that, you lose any excuse. Everyone has to work and has family to take care of. The true test is time management. In order to write, I’ve had to surrender goofing off on World of Warcraft, watching too much television, video games, and a hundred other fun stuff I want to do. The same people that will complain about not having time to write are the people that watch twenty hours of television.
I have friends that dream about writing careers or art careers and then do things like play World of Warcraft or Warhammer.
If you want it, you have to work for it.
