Hey all,
So I am trying to figure out which NW conventions are good. I am looking at
http://www.foolscapcon.org/
This looks like an awesome time! And it has writer workshop.
Sept 22-24 2006
http://www.robothon.org/robothon/index.php
A Roboconvention! Neat! Not much to do with writing, but looks fantastic.
http://www.vcon.ca/
October 6th, 7th and 8th, 2006
This also has a writer workshop
http://www.orycon.org/orycon28/
November 17 - 19, 2006
This also has a writer's workshop and Ellen Datlow, uber-editor supreme will be there.

Date: 2006-08-24 07:05 pm (UTC)Robothon would be fun for a few hours but I think watching robots for more than that would get boring. Of course if you were to get down in the pits and do some interviewing and gathering info it could be a good setting for a story.
Vcon and Orycon have a lot going on. I know my brother-in-law enjoys Orycon a lot. With so much going on if you get bored you can always try something else. Doesn't the Cam go to Orycon? You may have to dodge them lest they try to re-blood bond you.

Robothon is more of lark than anything else.
