Sometimes, I have to remind myself that it is the editor's job to buy what they think will sale.

My favorite two stories I've written are unpublished.

Sometimes, stories I don't think are as good will sale quickly.

"The Girl in the Window" is about a writer that meets one of the ancient Greek muses. [livejournal.com profile] louise_bohmer pointed out how to make the story even stronger, so I am hoping that works. [Thanks by the way. And I am willing to return the favor.]

"What They Need.." is just odd. It is a modern fantasy story in that there is a magic restaurant where they have no menus, but everyone gets served the meal they really need. It is an interesting story, but isn't EXTREME or wacky.

Maybe they aren't as good as I think they are, but I'll keep trying.

I just wish there were more markets for less bloody materal. Old school fantasy. It seems like most markets are there for the uber-gore. I think the Splatterpunk phase proved that was popular.

I've become more interested in weird mood pieces. The coolest movie of this type that I've seen was "The Girl that Lived Down the Lane" with Jodie Foster. If you haven't seen it, please do. It rocked. Martin Sheen plays this creep pedophile.

I'm sure Girl in the Window has likely changed quite a bit since I read it years ago (as I know you've rewritten it at least once). It didn't really kill me back in the day. I think I'd like to read it again to see what's going on with it now.

Sure thing. What address did you want me to send it.

Also, did you want to hang out and do the lunch thing? When are you off?
