I'm at the dangerous stage in the novel. I've written roughly half of it [60k words] and I'm starting to have a wondering eye. This is the stage where slackers and the wimps bail out for the shiny new thing. That said, writing nothing but this novel has been kind of a drain of me.

I might try a couple of short stories to clear the palate.

I suspect the novel might go to 100k. There's plenty of story. If this was a comic book story, it would be the origin story.
