Another rejection letter

I got another rejection letter. This one was phrased very nicely. I can kind of see the editor's point as it does look like their magazine is more horrific than the dark fantasy tone of the submitted story. It seemed like a good fit at the time.

Now I have three stories I need to look for homes for:

The Girl in the Window
The Sound of the Dream
Lucky Stiff.

Thanks for submitting 'The Sound of the Dream' to XXX. After careful consideration we've decided your story isn't what we're seeking at present.

That said, it was one of the stronger pieces we've received and I feel it will find a home elsewhere without too much difficulty. It's just that the story isn't quite right for us. Please review our updated guidelines and submit again in the future.
