Writing Partner

I watched Numb a couple of nights ago and I've been thinking about it.

I really identified with the main character. Sometimes, growing up I had that same feeling of being alien.

The weird point for me was the dynamic of a writing team. Writing has always seemed like a solitary thing.

Does a partnership work?

I can think of one husband/wife team.

Is this just something done in the movies?
