To Do List:
The first draft of “Moonlight in Scarlet” is now complete. It weighs in at 4,800 words. I think I need to shave off around 500 words to make the story tighter. I think I can do this after I sit on it for a day or two. The deadline for this is May 15th so I have a couple more days to ponder and revise.
“The Three Gates of Agony” is also due in May. This one is difficult to do as I have a large story and a semi-hard limit of 5,000 words.
It is always better for me to finish these early and then edit.
I also have a revision for “Fear and Loathing in Bat Country: Hunter S. Thompson Versus Dracula” that I need to complete. I have an interested editor, but the story needs 5k more words to fit their guidelines. I’m eager for this novella to see print in the US.
Last night, I had a seemingly brilliant science fiction story idea. I have been scanning through story databases and seeing if this is an original thought or not. If it is, I’ll be working on this next.
