I’ve been slowly cooking a Swords and Sorcery fantasy. I was having a hard time with it until I decided to link it to one of my sub-universes and thus Jocelyn Heller was born.
I’ve been having a blast researching the Norman Conquest, the Battle of Hastings, and the Heller family tree.
Thus story is also different for me in that it is my first werewolf story. This isn’t a sexy changeling breed, we stand apart from humans. This is a nasty curse, I will eat your eyes story.
My new wiki helps me focus and remember old and odd details. I suspect it will be a great help when I start editing Dylan and the Dream Pirates.
I figured out how to make Dreams in the Dragon’s House much more commercial. It involves combining the first three chapters into a single chapter and then expanding the last half. Oddly, I think it took writing Dylan and the Dream Pirates to fully understand how to pace Dreams in the Dragon’s House.
In my free time, I’m running through my wiki and updating information about the characters. I am already generating more ideas and more stories.
