Washington state has a primary and a caucus. Unfortunately, the democratic party does not use the votes in the primary to determine a states delegate count. The republican party uses the primary votes to determine 48% of their delegates. They both use the caucus system.

Your local caucus is February 9th, 2008. Whether you're a democrat or a republican you should get involved. The races are close in both parties. If you have no clue where to go to participate you can look it up on-line.

We are one of only 3 states that use both. They really need to get rid of the caucus system like the rest of the country I think. It doesn't get nearly the participation the Primary does, and just ends up confusing people.
