Today has gotten off to a slow start. I didn't sleep well last night. I felt sick this morning. I threw up a couple of times and then slept. I woke up and then started feeling better and started writing again.
Here is the opening to Until the Stars Grow Cold
Chapter One: Situation Normal
The metallic clicks of Blasters popping out of safety echoed in the alley and then half a dozen muzzles were aimed at her. Mia Wells found comfort in the familiar and she supposed it was a sad state of affairs that betrayal had become all too comforting since the Fall.
She raised her hands slowly, turned her back to the wall, and sighed. The men aiming the Blasters at her wore dark red scarves that covered their entire heads, but she knew who they worked for. She sized them up one by one looking for her man. “I came to Curaçao to do business, Schanke.”
