I started
reading through the submissions for Twilight Temptations.  Not a single
keeper so far.  I received three humor pieces, which baffles me.

I think I
have the opening to Dylan and the Dream Pirates.  I think it will be
very fun to write.  I think I like writing novels much better.

I started reading

The Big Bow Mystery
by Israel Zangwill.  It is interesting so far; a
good mental cleaning from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.  I'm still
a little drained from my weekend read-a-thon.  I'll have to see what my
opinion is of this next time.

Reminds me of some of the stuff I've seen for TEoP.

I have heard that people are looking for humor, even if it is dark, right now. Something about the times I think. Of course just because something has a humorous bent doesn't mean it doesn't fit your stated theme. :-)

What you mean there are people out there who don't read the submission guidelines?
