My short story "Lucky Stiff: Or How I Learned to Love After the Apocalypse" shall appear in the anthology Zombie Erotica from Living Dead Press.

This is my second short story with this name, but as you can imagine both stories are set in a similar future.

I seem to be on a roll.

As a writer, you have to take care of business.

Sometimes you will have stories that haven't been submitted. You need to track payments.

Today, I did my 500 words on The Highway West and now I am in the middle of sending out submissions, signing contracts, and making sure that I've hit all of my promises.

And I seem to have lost my synopsis for Dylan and the Dream Pirates and now I need to rewrite it as it has been requested.

I an enjoying writing the book.

The two main characters are very easy to write for. The bad guys are fun as well.

The challenge is that the third main character is mysterious, strange, foreign. I made her a woman for that reason. Women are often a big mystery to me and it feels natural.

Today while cleaning up with Lisa, the angle for which to capture her voice clarified for me. I figured out a way to keep the mystery without losing character or making her boring.

I have go through a couple of chapters for her dialog, but I think I have it.
