Woohoo! I am finally starting to get sleepy again.

How did I do it?

I cleaned the apartment. Edited a section of Dylan and the Dream Pirates. Worked on bills. Ack! I forgot one of the parking tickets from the two weeks of Hell and now owe $60.

And then I read the book Lincoln: Biography of a Writer and Lord Byron: Selected Letters and Journals

Lincoln was very witty and catty. I am enjoying the both of them.

I am going to bed to be back up at 8.

PVP totally spoiled my plans for tonight's D&D game: http://www.pvponline.com/2009/06/30/a-little-applause/

So far, I am enjoying Mystical Rome: http://jasonbandrew.wikidot.com/mystical-rome

The last game had the party witness their first real scene with magics and a non-human.

Marcus Valerius Volusi, played by Rob, is a wizard desperate to find out what she is.

Commondus Valerius Perseius, played by Clay, is a Paladin of Valerius (a minor house deity) and wishes to rebuild his house's honor and fortune.

Cenobite Lucius, played by Dusty, hates the nobles of his house and just wants to bring glory to Mar.

Donne, barbarian Gaul slave, played by Tony, just wants to eat food and doesn't understand why these strange clerics have such an interest in him.

They are all 3rd level now.

Thus far, they have fought beggars / Rogues, boars, bears, and skeletons. I suspect the players are itching to fight real enemies.

Tonight they face the mad meance of Captain Audric, the Pirate King.

I recieved a request for a rewrite for a submission this afternoon.

It was kind of a longshot submission, but it looks really good.

Just the kind of boost to my self-esteem that I needed.
