I have two days off now at home by my self while [livejournal.com profile] insatia sadly has to go to work.

This is very much a test run to see if I could actually produce on a regular basis if I were a stay at home writer.

Can I be productive enough? Time will tell.

One of my dreams has been to write fiction full time. I never thought it would be possible until [livejournal.com profile] insatia suggested we start working towards it.

I have today and tomorrow off from work so I wanted to run things as a test run to see if I could actually be productive as a full time writer.

This weekend, I made sure clean the house to make sure I didn't have an excuse. I'm weird, but if my house is too messy, I can't concentrate.

Today's report so far:

1. Woke up at 9 AM.

2. Started Laundry and showered.

3. I took a walk around the block at 9:30

4. Started writing at 10:00.

5. Stopped writing at 12:00. Wrote 2000 words for Dylan and the Dreamlands.

6. Ate lunch and took a break. Watched Tru Calliing. [Made note to netflix the series as it is fairly awesome.]

7. Put a couple of items on ebay. Speaking of which, if you are a fan of the Sandman and have always wanted the Statues, now is the time to take a look. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZjasonbandrew

My plan is to start again at 2 PM and write until 6 PM. This afternoon I am going to work on Until the Stars Grow Cold.

Until then, I am going to check livejournal.

I'm looking for a couple of names for some goons.

After lunch and the break, I did some technology research for Until the Stars Grow Cold.

I figured out how I want to do FTL.

Cosmic Strings are strands of super dense concentrated energy less than an atom thick, but could conceivably be tremendously long. Pilots call these Cosmic Strings Ley-lines. Ley-lines crisscross the cosmos in a series of snakes and ladders. The idea is a ship could fly along one of these Ley-lines at a top speed that would only be a fraction of the speed of light, but which would actually be many times the speed of light in normal space relatively speaking. And the routes could be guarded and all manner of stories could happen there.

I figured out I wanted to use Plasma Heated Weapons, but I need some sort of name for the hand weapons. I need to figure out something cool and dangerous sounding like Blasters. I've seen Blasters several times in different places. And, I'm afraid that it is too generic. Coming up with a cool name for the pistols is driving me nuts.

I completed Chapter One for Until the Stars Grow Cold at 2,000 words.
