Ghost Rider

I actually liked the Ghost Rider movie, but it fell short of what it could be.

I think the fault was the director.

The script was good. The action decent. The idea and scenarios fun. The writer actually was a fan of the comics and used a lot of elements from the thirty year history of the character. I was very impressed with the little details.

However, I think that this movie was failed by the director. The directing just sucked. It was just plain. Boring. How do you make jumping over helicopters boring? How do you have Nick Cage as the Ghost Rider seem a bit dull or lost?

My problem with the Ghost Rider movie was simply the fight scenes. They were boring. A villain shows up, and Ghost Rider has a deus ex machina moment, and defeats it! *yawn*

It could have even been the fault of the producer, cutting out parts of the fights so that it would be short enough to be commercial.

The flow of the fight scenes are determined by the director. One of the reasons Spiderman is so good is because of this.

Not always. Look at how the producers changed Daredevil. Watch the difference between the theatrical release and the Director's Cut.

Totally different movies. One is good. One isn't watchable.
