I have finished editing "The Deadman’s Hand." It has topped out at 4400 words. It isn't due until next week so I am going to sit on it a couple of days and take one final look at it. This is for the same editor that published me in Arkham Tales and was a private invitation to the anthology so I really want to impress him. The ending is pretty good, but I think I can add in some more details. If I can polish five paragraphs, I think I can make this story kick ass.

I'm trying to figure out if I want to rename one of the characters. If anyone has a neat idea for a jewish alchemist, drop me a line. I've been reading about jewish mysticism, and it is fairly keen.

Well, Lewis being a Germanic/Frankish name, really doesn't work at all. Not if you want the fact that he's Jewish to be evident from the name.

Think of Biblical stuff, Old Testament. Mordecai and so on. Not Northern European.
