Hi,

I am looking for information detailing types of dandy clothing from 1880s. I'm looking for something that shows pictures and names the various items.

Check out from Seattle Public Library

"The Dandy: Brummell to Beerbohm" by Ellen Moers
"Men in Black" by John Harvey

The first book is likely to be more specific about fashion, but the second book is also quite good. Clothes are well-described, although not always with accompanying pictures.

(Jana, just visiting from Brannon's LJ to help him figure out who people are. The word 'dandy' caught my eye...)

Ah, I wish I had that a few weeks back. I ended up finding a keen website with a ton of information though I don't have the link at work.

But I did indeed make my deadline and so all is well.
