I've never really felt the urge to write fan-fiction before. I mean it would be cool to play in other people's sandboxes, but I want to be able to send out my writing.

I've submitted to the Star Trek contest. And I'm working on one other media tie-in. However, this page gave me the mother of all ideas.

That would be very cool. Of course you couldn't publish it. Harlan Ellison is well known for vigorously going after people who even think of infringing on his copyrights.

It would have been a cool episode. Particularly if they could have gotten Robert Culp to reprise the role. :D

Have you seen how many Dr Who novels there are? New ones, new stories, get published each month - and what are these if not glorified fanfic?
