Editing is proceding with Abigail's Dragon.

I’ve managed to go back and fill in details on the sections where I left a note. Now, I’m mostly concerned about the two big magical battles. I don’t think a D&D style blow by blow works for this story. On the other hand, I’m afraid I’m not describing enough. Magic fight scenes are hard.

I did go back and make sure I had the proper signposts for Abigail’s victory at the end. The clues were there before, but a bit too subtle I think. My lovely wife is visiting relatives this weekend so I am expect to be done this weekend and ready for first readers.

Anyone wanting to volunteer? I’m mostly just look for general reactions. I don’t expect line-edits.

I'm looking for first reader that will give feedback on the story impression. Did you like the story? What parts did you like in the plot? What didn't you like?

I'm not wanting line edits. No sense in doing that when entire sections might get cut. Make sense?

There are a couple of sections that I'm curious about how readers will take.

For example, there's a bit of homophobia in a group of 13-15 year old boys picking on someone.

There's another scene where the main character gets grabbed that's a bit sheevy.

Are the mysteries handled in a good way? Did you figure out certain details before hand?

So, that didn't answer my question at all.

Chapter chunks, or are you asking for people to read all 210 pages in one bite?

My plan is to print out three copies of the entire book and pass them around. However, if you wanted to just review in chunks, I'd be ok with that.

PS: I wouldnt expect people to read any father than their enjoyment factor allows.

Oh, well, if you're printing it out, that's easy, then. For whatever reason, I was picturing it all online. That's ever so much tougher. Printouts are easy.

I can volunteer if you want me in. I'm not reading anything I can't set aside or finish in a day or two, and I'm pretty used to carrying my own manuscripts around, so that's not a problem.

Well, I didn't actually say I was printing it out, I was just thinking it. Speaking of which, I have printed out a copy for you. Let me know the best delivery time, destination, and method.
