Strange New Worlds Contest

I recieved my two rejection letters from the Strange New Worlds contest today. Since they were so late, I had my hopes up.

Both of them recieved the "good writing/plot, but not quite what we wanted" section along with a circle around the "please submit again."

The next round of the contest will be next year. I am hoping by then that I won't be qualified as I'll have my three professional level sales. If not, I will try again next year.

I think my writing is improving and if nothing else the quality of the rejection letters seems to be improving.

Hey, I noticed that you are publishing a ton of anthologies. Are these antholgoies open? I didn't notice a listing anywhere. Or did they fill up a while ago? I've only been active for about six months. :)

Also, I keep a list of the links you can find my stuff on my information page. I was going to suggest you do the same. Oddly, it helps. :)

Oh, the anthos! Unfortunately, they are both closed. :( (Just doing two at the moment, but I am in the works to set up a couple, possible future biannual mags, so I will definitely keep you posted, Jason!)
