I have always been big boned aka festively plump once I quit sports.

I got really heavy this last year. I decided I wanted to do some walking to avoid that pothole.

I think I've lost around 5 to 10 pounds. I don't have a scale, but I have a belt and I have to do down one. And when I went to try on my old work shirts, they fit.

I limited myself to one soda per day. I started eating less. And I walk.

And oddly, I started letting myself have an occasional sweet treat, which made me want soda less.

No magic solution.

I think it helped that I've developed a mad taste for Strawberry Lemonade.

I was curious if anyone local was interesting in doing a walking thing a couple nights a week.

Obviously I'm not in your area or I would be glad to. However, I recommend the "Cook Yourself Thin" cookbook. It is the #1 bestseller right now. Basically it does substitutions to regular dishes to cut the calories in half or better while still being very delish. They have a show that is on demand under tv series also. Jill and I have made several recipes from the book and all have been really good.

I noticed when I cut the soda to a can or less a day I dropped about 10 pounds too. :D

I really enjoyed walking with my sisters for exercise. I may try to start walking in the park again.

Congratulations on the weight loss.

Glad it's working for you!

I've been slowly loosing weight too. Cutting out soft drinks was my big tipping point too.
