I emailed my congressman late last night. This morning I had a reply.
Granted, I'm sure that this is a canned email, but it sounds like my rep was a co-sponsor of the impeachment process. That makes me very happy.

Dylan and the Dream Pirates: Villiany

I realized this morning on my break that I based the appearance and some of the mannerisms of my main villian from Dylan and the Dream Pirates Talbot on David Bowie.

I can't figure out if I was inspired by Labyrinth, the Hunger, or the Venture Brothers.

I'll look at it the second time through and see if it is too obvious.

Imagine the wacky fanfiction that could come from that one.

I've managed to recreate what I've lost for Dylan and the Dream Pirates. I'm trying to make Talbot very self aware. I expect the next five chapters to speed by.

I am concerned that three of the test-readers for the last version of Dreams in the Dragon's House filtered off. That might be a sign that the book isn't as good as I think it is. Either way, it was a good learning experience.

I'm eager to get this one finished and use the lessons learned in my next one.
