The first draft of "the Dagger of Azathoth" is complete at 9500 words. 500 words UNDER the max. I am going to revise late in the week. I think I can shave off 1000 words or so to make it tighter. However, I might have to add as much to one scene that I cut short.

I had a bit of time today so I decided to write another entry for the Strange New Worlds contest. ”Forward to Anslem” was a quick burn at 1300 words.

I need to do a bit of thinking for my next story. The obvious title would be "Deadman's Hand" but I think that title has been used a hundred times.
