Masters of Horror: Washingtonians

Showtime's Masters of Horror is a series of short horror movies produced for cable. Each movie is directed by a known master of horror such as John Carpenter, Guillermo Del Toro, or Stuart Gordon.

Some of the entries have been less than stellar.

Some of them I liked so much that I bought the DVDs. For example, Dreams in the Witch House is the single best direct Lovecraft adaptation I've ever seen.

Masters of Horror: Washingtonians is the craziest.

If you like alternate history, you need to watch this movie.

Here is the kicker for this movie. George Washington, the father of the United States, was a not so secret cannibal. He didn't cut down cherry trees, but the limbs on young virgins.

It was horrible, funny, and even managed to a couple of thought provoking scenes. I don't want to spoil the movie but yeah this movie even found a logical time and place when Washington would have gotten the taste for the "other white meat".

Classic.
