Writing and Editing Updates

Wow! Busy day. I read through all of the submissions for Twilight Temptations. The tally: 1 Acceptance, 4 second reads, 40 rejections.

Tomorrow I am going to start on the Gemini Submissions.

I managed to write more for Chapter One of Dylan and the Dream Pirates. I was also able to come up with a name for the father that I really love. I also completed the entire book outline. Things should progress much faster now. I had the first draft of Abigail’s Dragon inside of two months after I had an outline of this size.

Not sure why, but there is a difference. Maybe I didn't do the guidelines as well. Or I'm not paying enough.

You are paying more than in previous books. That isn't the problem. You might be a bit more critical, which is natural since you want every book to be better than the one before. You also might not be getting as good of stories.

If you read a lot of them at once you also might have been turned off by a couple lemons in a row and then imposed that attitude on others that came after. I know I have done that when editing.

Perhaps you should rewrite the guidelines for it.
