Technical writing is in general an awesome job.

It is challenging with usually being stressful.

Today I feel like I ran a marathon.

And still, it was a good day.

I finally have a little breathing room at work.

I have a meeting after hours, but I shouldn't be here working until 8 tonight.

Sadly, this means I won't be completing "Moonlight in Scarlet" in time for the intended anthology. However, I believe I will be able to find a good home for it.

I am very excited by the Camarilla Reset. I think Friday will be my last game in the old chronicle.

My file for "Moonlight in Scarlet" is corrupted. I think I won't loose too much as I backed up last night. I've managed to recover most of it, but it derailed me a bit.

I'm still concerned that a file on my brand new flash drive managed to get corrupted.

I wish I had more time to write this story, but alas the deadline to submit is 5/15/2009. If I can't make solid progress this week, I'll have to submit it someplace else.

I'm trying a challenge of writing in a different style.

Work has been extremely busy. I'm clocking a lot of hours. It just adds to the stress.

I just had the greatest one on one with my manager ever.

I came in to explain progress on various projects.

My manager made me listen to the coolest version of Ziggy Stardust ever. And then he said that he’s been getting nothing but kudos about me and as long as stuff keeps getting done he’s happy. I love Dev Managers.

PM Managers feel a need to justify their existance and want to know everything. Devs just want it done.

So far, my new job is awesome.

The location is great.

The pay is the best I've ever been paid.

The people are nice.

I have my own little office.

The only problem is that the office used to belong to a 50 year old woman with lots of junk and pictures of her dog. I'm not sure why she's not working her anymore, but I see some of the deadlines and I think I know why.

I'm just confused as to why everything is still here. Including her stanky moldly coffee cups.

Off to lunch with the wife....maybe my PM will be able to explain more.

[livejournal.com profile] insatia and I have a rule where we assign points when the other one of us is right.

I hereby grant her three "I was right" points.

Why?

Monster.com

I put my resume on there years ago and didnt get a response. I updated it and now suddenly my phone is ringing off the hook.

I had nine agencies try to submit me for the same job in Federal Way. I actually turned off my phone for a couple of hours today so I could finish my contract work for Web Junction.

I highly recommend www.monster.com to all of the tech writers on my list.
