As the great prophet Chumawamba once said, "I get knocked down but I get up again. You're never going to keep me down."

Two rejections greeted me this morning in my mail box. One of them really disappointed me. The more you love a story, the harder it is for it to be rejected. Still, it was a nice rejection.

Story submissions were sent off into the ether this morning. My new story "The Application of Discipline" was among them.

This weekend is NWRE, which stands for NorthWest Regional Event. It is a convention for the Camarilla. Yes, I am a fang dork. This will be an event from Thursday to Sunday and so your friendly neighborhood writer will be out of touch during that time.

However, I will be chronicling this adventure for the Miscreant Monkey Crew. After all, I am missing bacon wrestling to come to this event.

The only item on my checklist was the editing of the novella, and I expected to not finish that this week.

I feel like a little monkey and I deserve my playtime.

I finally finished this month's Tales of the Miscreant Monkey Crew article.

Deadlines really make my creative juices flow.

Speaking of which, I finished my occult research needed for my dragon short story. Now, I am working on the historical element connecting China and Seattle during the turn of the century. This story is a Heller Mystery with Jonathan Heller as the main character.

I really like the era of 1900 to 1925. There is something magical about it.

Huzzah!!! The latest and greatest Tales of the Miscreant Monkey Crew story is available now at http://issuu.com/seattlesinner/docs/issue80.

Note to Seattleites: It usually takes about a week for the paper issue to come to the stands.

I love that they published the picture of [livejournal.com profile] insatia in the article.

This weekend was nuts.

Friday night, I had a quiet night of playing Fallout 3.

Saturday night was the latest adventure of the Miscreant Monkey Crew. We went to the Succubus Club. More details after I finish my story. I will only say that that Clay filled my camera with pictures and Tony was vomited on no less than three times.

Sunday morning, [livejournal.com profile] insatia's nieces and nephews arrived. Thankfully, I did get my full four hours of sleep. We spent time with the kids and showed them Seattle. I played Fallout 3 with Adrian.

Monday morning, [livejournal.com profile] insatia took the kids out again and I started writing.

I am waiting on feedback from two interviews. Either would rock.

I am waiting on yes or no from a couple of different anthologies/magazines/special sekret project.

The Camarilla has been funny. I think Ive grown up a bit because this sort of thing would have really bothered me years ago, but I know the Cam has cycles and if you don't like something you just have to wait.

I am looking at scrap-booking supplies. I want to have a book for my Tales of theMiscreant Monkey Crew articles.

Tonight is m anniversary with [livejournal.com profile] insatia.

I have a freelance project writing help on Abode Acrobat for a client this weekend. It shouldn't take but an hour or two.

I also have a writing try-out for an awesome job that I would have never imagined working.

I have a draft of my Tales of the Miscreant Monkey Crew, but I need to revise it before I send it off tomorrow.

I have two stories I need to work on for next week by the end of the months.

I am working on my next article.

I really enjoyed meeting people. I had a lot of fun conversations and met a lot of keen people.

Writing this series of articles has been a lot of fun.

I wish I had managed to get a couple of contacts, but I suspect I'll bump into them again in the future.

Greetings, True Believers!

I've started writing a series of gonzo articles about local Seattle events for the Seattle Sinner titled Tales of the Miscreant Monkey Crew.

It has been suggested that others might wish to join the Miscreant Monkey Crew on our hopefully torrid adventures. I shall be posting events here and my wiki.

Tonight the Miscreant Monkey Crew shall invade the RatCity Rollergirl Championships. You can find more information at http://www.ratcityrollergirls.com/

June 9th, we'll be invading Sinners and Saints for their weekly drunken goldfish races. How do you race drunken goldfish? I have no idea. Their address is 303 N 36th St Seattle, WA 98103. Google Maps Directions
