Fear and Loathing in Innsmouth involves a long and strange conspiracy. I was working on creating it when I realized that there is already a real life situation I can build from.

And best of all, Prescott Bush was involved!

Obviously, I am going to have a lot more research and reading to do. Wiki is good for identifying what you might be looking for, but not so much with the solid data.

I am very excited.

I've enjoyed my little vacation, but back to work.

I recieved some nice feedback on Dreams in the Dragon's House. I plan to consider it and the feedback from the prospective agent at the same time.

Next week, I start editing Dylan and the Dream Pirates. I've manged to throw so much story into it that it is tiring. I did miss the giant monkies.

This week, I played around with Fear and Loathing in Innsmouth

So far two things have surprised me: the ghost of Lenny Bruce and the mountain folk occultists with a hankering for the other white meat named Glamberson and Clayton. Yes, that's right I like hoping on bandwagons.

Speaking of which, anyone want to be disco hipsters that are brutally murdered and have other unkind things happen to them? Or at least give out their names?

Another idea that I've been playing around with is a murder mystery/satire titled Murder in Cubeland.

The plot revolves around a murder in a Seattle video game company and one of the developers is accused of a murder he didn't commit.

The title feels very familar somehow. Anyone recognize it?

At the moment, I am working on Fear and Loathing in Innsmouth. There's a lot less formal outline to this one. However, I was surprised at the appearance of the ghost of Lenny Bruce. I think that one just made this whole deal a lot more difficult.

Persephone's Child is still ringing in my head, but the main problem is that I really want the protagonist to go to Evergreen State college. There are vampires in this story, which causes the problem. However, Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is set in Forks, Washington and involves vampires. [livejournal.com profile] insatia feels like it might be too much. I think that's why I skipped this book. I really wanted that setting. I liked the idea of a demi-goddess living in a city named Olympia.

I did some copyediting for Dragonclaw Apocalypse. I have two possible covers. I need to think on that.

I sent out contracts for Twilight Temptations.

I'm on pins and needles about an agent reviewing Dreams in the Dragon's House. I keep checking her site every hour or so.

I still need a little bit of time before I start editing Dylan and the Dream Pirates. I plan to start that in September.

And so I also started Fear and Loathing in Innsmouth: Richard Nixon's Revenge. Speaking of which, I finally recieved my shipment of Triquorum 2. I know I promised a couple of local people copies of it.

I watched Where the Buffalo Roam on DVD. I liked it. I liked that it highlighted the friendship between Thompson and Acosta rather than just the drug use.

I had another Gonzo dream about this book. My mind really wants me to get started.

I need to do a bit more research on Acosta.
